Not quite as FOX just bought the rights to the Top Half of the Big Ten TV Rights but yes, the P5 Conferences FOX is currently shut out of are:

ACC (Up/down East Coast)

SEC (Basically everywhere in the Southeast)

FOX desperately wants to break into those areas where they are currently shut out of in the world of major college football.

They will get it too....UM/UC are Big 12 Bound and Have been some quit sometime now....The plan was for UM/UC all sports with BYU and Boise for FB Only which Texas Wants, But UH and Texas Politics got INvolved late and now it stand as this....UM/UC/BYU with Either UH?...Boise?...Simple as that...Its coming VERY Soon....Uconn is NOT in the PIcture regardless of What ESPN wants....Uconn as well as USF had 10 years of BCS and Couldn't get it done...Its that Simple....BB isn't driving the bus because it about FB....Get this Uconn 3 Winning Seasons and your FB staduim and facilities are Laughable....#UM/UC....#Big12Bound....#Big12CountryNow....#No Limits....#The World Is Ours Memphis....

Just a simple question -- It's all about football, and Memphis was the #1 choice two years ago? I don't follow football all that closely. Were we setting the house on fire two years ago in football?

And availability. Of those available who brings the most $ to the table right now? With FedEx's help, Memphis has to be near the top. Getting a portion of a competitor's top 5 CFB and top 10 CBB market has to be attractive as well...at least for FOX lol!

No inside info, but I go back to the interview Dr. Rudd gave around the time the Big 12 letters were made public. The last question asked how he would pitch the Big 12 power brokers if they were on the phone. Dr. Rudd answered something like "First of all it wouldn't be done on the phone, but over the course of several years of building relationships..." So, while I have no opinion on whether it's been done for several years (honestly don't care), I think it's pretty safe to say conversations between the Big12 and UofM have been ongoing for that length of time. Rudd also said he'd been working on it from day one on the job IIRC, but could have that mixed up with AD Bowen.
