Have done the Grand Canyon, the Garden of the Gods and the Keys.

Not sure I would put the last two on the list of 20. Not sure Sedona, Arizona would make the list but I'd put it ahead of the Garden of the Gods.

I'm biased but I'd put mid to north west Michigan coast. The sand is fine, the dunes and bluffs majestic and the lake is breath taking. All of our guests we've treated from outside the US liken it to their experience at the ocean.

Hard to keep the Redwoods off I would think and the Badlands are pretty unique and "bad". Not sure what Gulf Shores has on the Outer Banks or the Jersey Shore. Minimally you can at least body surf. Beaches are great. I'd also recommend Williamsburg or at least what I recall from when No and I were there in '78 for a wedding in Bruton Parrish. Sat in Washington's pew.
