Southern Miss should be the only CUSA candidate and the top one over all.

No to both. ODU deserves at least a look and USM is not the top overall candidate. Army would be the top candidate but that is IF they wanna join...

I think if we lose one or three Southern Miss will be our only add to go to 10 or back to 12.

You saw what happened to CUSA when they went with a market focus. The way the media is moving, markets won't matter as much if nobody is watching. And for most the big market teams available to the AAC, nobody is watching.

Heard the same arguments when Temple and Houston were invited 4 years ago. And yet here we are.

NIU is a big market team and gets some of the highest G5 viewership in the past several years.

Oh, and they're available =)

Temple and Houston have athletic history in their past... Houston in football, basketball, and somewhat in baseball; Temple in basketball, yet a few good seasons recently in football. The past success helps draw viewers quickly when those teams begin having success again.

IMO, USM should have been in the AAC for the past three years so this would be a welcome development .

The schools that will be joining the AAC are Rice ODU and UMASS.

That was not what people were saying on 2012. Hindsight I suppose.
