Hush, I don't actually have anything against Marshall and i respect your program a lot. I just leave thosr tidbits for stalker boy flyhawk to find. So buzz off with your animosity buddy, i only argue with 1 marshall fan and respect the others
Although as an accurate rebuttal to this, scores from a few years removed mean jack squat lol

It was 2014, NIU came in as MAC champs running their mouths.
Marshall put a 59-23 shellacking on NIU. It seriously looked like men playing against boys. The lack of speed and athleticism for NIU really stood out in this game.

No one cares. Go ahead and bring up the ECU game from 3 years ago. Time to move on.

However for the AAC its more a doable stretch since EMU wouldn't be in that conference.
This from the guy who claimed Ohio can bring in the Columbus Market. Or was that one of your other 5 screen names?

I have visited both cities many times. Go visit Chicago and you will not even realize NIU exists.
Go visit Detroit and you will see at least a few people walking around with Toledo gear.
Plus Toledo is hitting Detroit hard with advertising especially at Detroit Tigers and Red Wings games.

Ohio has a campus on the south side of Columbus and a medical school on the north side.
If any school can play the claim the bigger city game we are it.

RE: Welcome all USM Marshall ODU NIU and UMASS posters
Quote:For Dublin, the OU campus can be the core of the “West Innovation District” on 1,000 acres west of Route 33. It “will serve as an anchor for the district, as well as the city as a whole,” said Dublin planning director Vince Papsidero. “Their vision will create a 24/7 academic place that will attract students, researchers and residents.”
City officials have visited and studied other prominent research districts, including North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park, for ideas, but they favor a more urban, walkable community rather than a grassy campus of large buildings.
University officials are emphatic that OU’s Dublin presence isn’t meant to supplant the Athens campus or compete with other universities, including Ohio State. Except for the medical school, programs offered in Athens won’t be replicated in Dublin, and the university wants to offer programs that don’t exist in central Ohio or are in short supply.
“We saw this as an opportunity to do something innovative to benefit central Ohio,” said Stephen Golding, vice president for finance for the university and CEO of the Dublin campus. “We didn’t see a benefit to coming up here and trying to be another Ohio State.”

Ohio is in the Columbus market. Two campuses in the Columbus suburbs and Four more in the media market (Lancaster, Zanesville, Chilocothe, Athens)
Athens is 60 miles on a 65/70 MPH roadway from the Columbus outer belt. Its about 45 minutes to the outer suburbs from Athens. Ohio State is on the north side and is 80 miles but one could probably get there in an hour and ten. The Columbus Dispatch has a beat writer dedicated to following our sports.
Ohio has by far the most alumni in central Ohio of any of the MAC schools.

You've always told me that Ohio State is "the school" for the Columbus market.
Using the same logic Michigan is "the school" for the Detroit market. But I do agree that UT has some pull in Detroit.
That you deny that Ohio has a presence in the Columbus market with campuses in and surrounding the city doesn't hold water. We're in the same state unlike Toledo which is in a different state than Detroit.

If 2 enter the B12(BYU and Houston) replacement for Houston is Rice
If 4 enter the B12(BYU and Houston and 2 of the 3 Cinn Memphis or UCF) replacement for Houston is Rice and the replacement for the other 2 are UMASS and ODU

I think the AAC is going to look Midwest and at the MAC.
The MAC has the next biggest TV deal behind the AAC and that's important. The schools now have the salary history needed to land a bigger job.

Every time I see your posting name I read it as whiner. Not quite sure that is the intention but it certainly comes across that way. On topic, outside of soccer and the ABILITY to expand your football stadium, what appeal does Concord bring? Other than marketz, which worked wonders for C-USA.

ODU attendance is 100% for football and 86% for men's BB, and WBB is top-30 in attendance, very few G5 can claim those numbers. We lead the CUSA in ticket sales and AD budget by a bunch. The new approved stadium will be expandable to +30K and a move up would only help that move forward. I don't think we're the first in line, just hope we get a look. If Houston is gone, seems Rice or USM would be in play out of CUSA.

100% for football? There were empty seats even when playing NC State.

Every ticket was sold, and has been for every game we played. We have a bunch, 4,500 that can go down to the beer garden and stay all game. It gets you out of the sun on the visitor side. When its hot like the early games, its the place.

Beginning of the NC State game was packed, no question. The end, not so much.
