That's exactly why they didn't send any players.

Interesting that NMSU players are a junior and a sophomore.

Some of their best players should be around for next year for their final SBC tour.

The conference football coaches meet during this time to discuss issues regarding football issues. Your HC has a voice since decisions that affect football inside the Sun Belt conference will affect his team.

Does TXST have its own Football Media Day? If so you could here from him then.

I know you are just trying to be a ***** - but my question is why?

Let me tell you a story,

A long time ago, long before Arkansas State had ever heard of Hugh Freeze, and regular bowl trips were considered part of a vivid imagination, Arkansas State had one message board. It was an independent board, and it was glorious. The place was filled with great fans of Arkansas State, but many of those fans were also internet trolls, and very good at what they did. In the Good ole days of message boards, you couldn't visit the AState board without first getting a thick skin to put up with the teasing remarks that would accompany your posts. We all knew each other personally, and all made fun of each other at a personal level, then we all tailgated together before each game. It was glorious

Then Hugh Freeze showed up, and the Football staff at Arkansas State decided that the school really needed an active site on one of the 3 major recruiting services (Scout, Rivals, 247) Freeze contacted a friend and convinced him to come start a scout forum for Arkansas State and act as publisher. When that happened, the boards coexisted. Fans who wanted football news, but not the side of troll, went to scout. Those that wanted football news, and a side of troll stayed on the Independent forum. The Match existed for two years.

Then in early 2013, the Publisher for the scout site left to take a position at another school. Faced with the possibility of again reverting back to the old days of AState having no dedicated recruiting service following us, only this time with a very strong program, the Independent board shut down, and moved everyone over to scout.com, with Arkstfan taking over as owner.

Then the Great purge of 2013 began, as the more troll part of our fan base decided that it could not co-exist on a scout site and follow more strict rules. Gradually, many of those trolls disappeared from the AState forums. Still supporting the team and tailgating, but no longer posting. Until recently, when I began attempting to bring some of our better trolls over here. WolfBird is a product of that...

Essentially, what you are seeing is what our fan base was like a few years ago, before the Sun Belt realigned.

I'm just kidding with ya anyway. As far as my original post, I had noticed that WolfBird did a lot of trolling and it just stuck out to me so just wanted to know why. I probably should have asked in a non coastal post since it came off worse than intended. I can appreciate a good troll job, at times and have been known to troll a bit myself. I do appreciate the background info - thanks!
