2. ULM - They will struggle this season
3. GSU - Expecting a significant drop in performance
4. USA - Maybe it'll rain in Ladd Peebles again
5. NMSU - They have some decent players this season
6. Troy - Troy is righting the ship and that's scary
7. ULL - Dark Horse SBC team
8. GT - We won't surprise them this time
9. stAte - Wednesday night away game yikes
10. WMU - No homefield advantage this time
11. App St - Toughest App team we've ever faced
12. Ole Miss - They'll probably be ranked when we play
Not sure about this. App will be good no doubt, and I'd still put them down there between 8-11, but toughest App team we've faced? App had a couple of ridiculous teams between 2005-2010 that we shouldn't just disregard because we've moved on to better places.
Hey App Fans, which is better, your current team or your 2007 team?
First 30 players, 2007, entire roster, 2016. That 2007 team had seven NFL draft picks.
How about 2006 vs. 2007 and 2016? I always thought you were better in 2006 because of the experience you had on the o-line.
1. Montana St. -- Please please please please please don't blow this.
2. USA -- we blew this game on the road last year and should be fired up to make up for it.
3. NMSU -- ditto. Plus, we always beat them in Moscow.
4. @ULM -- This was the one team we just handled throughout the game last year.
5. Georgia St. -- Long trip for them, although this might come down to who needs it more for bowl eligibility.
6. @Texas St. -- New coach, new program, should be able to take them during the transition year.
7. @UNLV -- No reason we shouldn't compete with these guys.
8. Troy -- I just have a bad feeling about this one. Our most surprising win last year and they're going to want revenge.
9. @ULL -- No idea how we'll match up since we have no recent history.
10. @WSU -- Strange things sometimes happen when we play the Cougs
11. @App St. -- Manhandled us last year. Dominated us more than anyone other than USC. Don't know why it would be any different in Boone.
12. @UW -- The Cubs won the World Series more recently than we've beaten the Huskies. We'll always have that glorious 12-12 tie in 1938.
Interestingly, ESPN's FPI has us at 6-6. That seems about right. I could see anything from 4-8 to 8-4.

1. Savannah State - possibly the worst team in D1
2. ULM - not a good team/program, Savannah State 2.0
3. @ South Alabama - GS owns Ladd-Peebles as well as South Alabama
4. @ Georgia State - taking a step back in 2016, back to the cellar...git git!
5. Troy - looking to be improved, not enough to defeat GS
6. Louisiana - should bounce back some, could be interesting the first half
7. @ New Mexico State - GS struggled @ NMSU the first go around
8. @ Western Michigan - good MAC team at their place
9. @ Georgia Tech - plenty of talent, PJ will be prepared
10. Appalachian State - hated rivals, always tough
11. @ Arkansas State - strong team at their place, mid-week
12. @ Ole Miss - potentially ranked come November
I could see us go anywhere from 11-1 to 8-4.
@ Georgia Tech, Appalachian State, @ Arkansas State, and @ Ole Miss should be the only games that GS potentially struggles with.

It will be interesting to see who covers him for App now that Gibbs is out for the season.
Yeah I think 3 individual WRs and 2 TEs voted all conference in just the last two years and Davis and Hart on the Biletnikoff watch list and Rucker on the Mackey list for 2016 says a lot.
1 Hampton
2 CCSU
3 Florida A&M
4 Monmouth
5 Bryant
6 PC
7 Lamar
8 Gardner Webb
9 Furman
10 Liberty
11 Charleston Southern (home so I gave the edge to the away team for the hardest)
12 Jacksonville St

ULL has a very favorable home schedule playing Boise and Ark State at home. Plus playing South Alabama and App at home. Of course we all know how ULL is capable of playing at home

You realize Tulane is a long time rival of ours right? And our first road game of the season. I ranked mine by the team, circumstance and when we play the game.

How did you do against 8th place southland team at home? Why would you spend $10k on fireworks to get beat by northwestern state?

Our first road game of the season? Where half the guys on both teams know each other? In state rival that we have beat twice in a row? Yeah it is...none of our teams have even touched the field yet. ...sowwy if dat hurts ya fweelins but then again your in state rival stomped a mud hole in you last year at your place...maybe we do the same to Tulane

I mean I guess I'll take your word for it.
***Just looked up their records for the passed 5 years. They are horrendous.
Tulane sucks. No one seems to have an issue beating them anywhere.
