Tulane is now in a MUCH better situation (empty Super Dome) with the on-campus Yulman Stadium. (they list a capacity of 30,000...but I believe it has just under 25,000 actual seats, which is perfect for them)

We are also building new locker rooms, players lounge, training tables, etc.
Are the athletes still staying in Jones or were they moved to Scott? If they were moved to Scott after the renovation along with this upgrade to the stadium I would expect ECU's recruiting to become much easier.
Yes, all new athletics dorms.
Don't believe there are any athletic dorms as the NCAA does not allow them.

When did the NCAA disallow athletic dorms? Arkansas State used to have a football only dorm.

The only thing wrong with that stadium is the track. It puts you a long way from the action, especially in the end zone on the hill. They could probably do something like Duke and lower the field and put in extra seats at the bottom. Although I don't know how much rock is under the field That could be a major undertaking.

Is there a plan, once we've gone through each conference, to take the top 2 or so from each, put them all together and vote for the best stadium in G5? That may have been the plan all along, lol.

Too expensive to lower the field due to rock and water issues. I'd like to build something similar to Tulane's 3 sides that match for end zones and east side. It could meet up nicely with the upper deck already in place. The west side with press box could stay as is for now.

Once the south stands are expanded and the old sheet metal monster replaced GS will have one of the nicest n the G5....until then just keep the cameras pointed north please. If you are going to go erector set you have to do what UCF did and cover it up with a nice facade.

Lots of rock and natural springs under KBS. Would like to see us move the field towards the west (press box) side then build a new lower section on the east side. Starting at the upper walk extending down at the same angle cover the existing lower section (fill it in). The stands would hit (depending on how high off the field you wanted the first row) about midway on the track. Wrap both endzones with seating the same as that lower section. That would give us about 35k, which is about the max we need.

I've been to the Liberty Bowl a couple of times and while it had no bells and whistles at the time ('94-'95) and the parking lot was ugly, we had a great view. It felt more like an NFL stadium (at the time, that is) than a college stadium. I'm glad they fixed it up a couple of years ago.

I'd say it's P5 caliber already. Wake's is G5 caliber for example.
Cheers!

The best thing that happened to the Liberty Bowl was the Mid South Fair moved. They could clean up the trashy animal pens and the trashy Libertyland stuff. Looks good.

Obviously I'm biased towards the Fick, but Navy's stadium is just beautiful in person and the atmosphere is unbelievable. If you ever get a chance to go to a game there you absolutely should.
