They certainly seem to have improved over last season. Let's see if they can move up a couple spots in the MAC this season.

Rockets at BSU tonight, tied 1 set a piece so far.

Had a pretty poor first set and BSU really hammered them for a 25-17 win.

Rockets came from behind in set 2 and closed it out when they had a chance, taking the 2nd 25-23.

Rockets come from behind again and take set 3 25-22. Lead 2 sets to 1.

Rockets came out on fire in the fourth running out to a 17-7 lead and held on to win 25-18. Rockets win 3-1 and go to 2-1 in MAC play! Great road win.

Thomas led the Rockets with 16 kills, Vidourek and Tuifua with 10 each. Vidourek also had 7 blocks.

Rockets take the 1st set from the Zips, 25-20.

Rockets have a really terrible 2nd set, losing it 25-15. Tied at 1 set apiece.

Rockets come back to take the 3rd 25-21, lead 2 sets to 1.

A tight up and down 4th, but Rockets have just a little more than the Zips, and take the set and the match 25-23. Rockets go to 3-1 in MAC play. Not the best match they have played by any reason, but did enough to win.

Sage Thomas led the Rockets with 16 kills and hit .389. Freshman Zoe Birnbrich added 11, along with 6 blocks.

Annie Beasley & Brianna Foster added some much needed spark off the bench.

Rockets on the road again next weekend at WMU & NIU. NIU is the favorite to win the division, so that will be a test to see how well the Rockets are really performing.

Rockets got absolutely destroyed by WMU last night, in 3 sets, including a 25-7 loss in set two. Was supposed to be on ESPN3, but all I could get was a technical difficulties banner, which was probably good, as the Rockets appeared to be having extreme difficulties by the score. WMU had been 0-4 in the MAC coming into the match. Wow.

Doesn't get any easier, as the Rockets are at 1st place NIU tonight. That game does not appear to be on ESPN3, but there may be video on the NIU website.

Well, after being thoroughly embarrassed by an otherwise winless (in MAC play) WMU team on Friday, the Rockets went to NIU to play the 1st place Huskies and apparently were a different team (I can't say first hand because the video was behind an NIU paywall.) Rockets took the huskies to a 5th set and even extended it to extra points before losing 16-14 in the 5th. Team can put together some good matches, but really lacks consistency.

Thomas lead the Rockets with 18 kills.

Rockets back home next weekend to play solid Ohio and KSU squads.

Rockets hosting 5-1 OU tonight, the team that has been dominating the MAC a lot in recent years.

In set 1, UT led most of the way, by as much as 5, but OU made a big run late in the set. UT holds on though, and wins the 1st 25-23.

Rockets continue their solid play, leading pretty much the entire set and closing out a 25-20 win. UT up 2-0 heading to intermission.

Rockets are hitting a solid .254 with Rachael Vidourek leading with 7 kills. OU has graciously helped out the Rockets 13 service errors in just 2 sets.

In set 3, after being down by 4, Rockets came back to take the lead at 21-20, but couldn't finish. OU takes set 3, 25-22. UT still up 2 sets to 1.

Rockets up 15-11 in set 4. TO OU.
