never seen something like this where no one had a heads up, no rumors, nothing. Hopefully its such a minor thing that it wasn't worth the administration putting out any statements ahead of this press conference.

UNC-CH's scandal was so bad, the NCAA is punishing Georgia Southern for it.

Sounding like it's not a football issue; hopefully the penalty will not hurt the sport(s) that were not directly involved.

Yea, it's actually REALLY odd that no one has heard anything. Usually, someone lets the cat out of the bag early on. Definitely a head scratcher for sure. Also, is the press conference at noon or 1 pm? I saw both times listed

That's what I'm hoping but I just wonder how a minor infraction involves an entire press conference and the NCAA telling GS that they can't talk about it before the conference.

We had a soccer and swimming and diving coach leave abruptly and oddly around the same time...

Not at all. Soccer and Swimming aren't going to be on national television multiple times in a few months.

soccer or swimming would make sense, basically, non revenue sports, that's not going to move the needle for GS athletics.
