Toledo Football has added Desmond Frye as a graduate transfer from Virginia Tech. He's a Safety & eligible immediately for 1 season.

If everything about the transfers is true, Frye plays for Toledo this year while Felder sits out. Then Felder becomes eligible to take the field in 2017.

Who is Felder? I don't see anything on the link.

So, this is the 4th transfer announced since NLI day. Was Candle just hanging onto 4 scholarships in anticipation of this happening, or have other scholarship players left? Just curious.

Holy Toledo, we can sure use him!!

Felder couldn't enroll at OSU due to not enough of his early HS classes qualifying as core academic subjects. Since he had sufficient grades and test scores he can enroll at UT as basically an academic RS. Can practice but not play. There's a link to an article in another thread explaining most of it. However, he's not yet officially enrolled at UT. Would be a good fit. He gets a yr to adjust and practice and still has 4 yrs to play. The VA tech transfer fits an immediate need w 3 of our top 5 dB's graduated.
