Been listen to a lot of Afghan Whigs of late. Were my favored live acts around town in the late 80's and early 90's along with Love Cowboys, The Janglers and Royal Crescent Mob.

For Greg Dulli fans check out Twilight Singers and Gutter Twins, too.

And a RC Mob favorite.

I'm in the crowd at Bogarts slugging down Fosters cans for this recording.

I like some Afghan Whigs tunes. Surprised I don't have any in my digital library. I'll need to change that. Here's another group from the late 80s that a friend turned me onto back then...

As I continue aging, my appreciation grows for jazz music - classic and modern. IMO, jazz has always been the true alternative form in popular music.

i don't know '92, if you've ever watched the cartoon sealab 2021, but there was a pop machine that dispensed jazz themed sodas like fizzy gillespie. my sister screen printed the above onto a onesie for my newin. mingus dew, according to capt. murphy, is the thinking man's pop

I have not but I like the soda names and dig the t-shirt. I'm thinking Diet Davis, Miles-Up, Duke Pepper or Dr. Duke (Ellington), Mellow Ella, A&W Armstrong, Kenny Pibb...how much time we got LOL?

Sounds a lot like when Moe went to Terrapin Crossroads and did Dead covers for 3 nights. Nice find!
