they knew about it before the pay per view match. I'm betting that is why they made Roman drop the title.
Ironically, Him losing was best for business.
But it took a suspension to force their hand.
Dude... A WWE suspension is public relations. The WWE isn't suspending anyone it doesn't want to. This is either punishment for Joe Anoai doing something to piss off Vince, Stephanie, and/or Triple H; evidence he has a real drug problem and this is the way of sending a message; or IMO, the new-age "worked" injury way to get Reigns off TV getting him a vacation while creating a narrative as a bad boy who is breaking WWE rules. He's coming back right at the beginning of the Live smackdowns and this might be the excuse for a pure heel turn.
Vince is seriously scared shitless when it comes to drug issues. He was gone, had made plans for his replacement and was prepared to enter lock up until Nailz totally lost it on the stands.Destroying the validity of the case.
Replacement was going to be our own Jerry Jarrett.
But the wellness policy is in response to all the wrestlers dying too young.

You might have misunderstood my post because we see this pretty much the same way.
They have need to turn him heel for many months now anyway.

RE: Roman Reigns reveives 30 day suspension
He's been fastracked because of his looks, but also because of his connections. Family generations in the WWE gets pushed. Now, I will say not everyone that gets pushed gets over, but very rarely can you see people that get as strong a push even when their characters aren't over or at least moving strongly in that direction.
Each member of the shield has been strongly pushed in different ways and only one partially deserves it, my opinion.
But if you seriously believe his family has nothing to do with his push, then you are just uninformed. Vince is HUGE on family connections and pushing people with heritage in the business.

I am not a regular viewer, so I don't know...
But from NXT until they had Rocky give him a rub, was WWE promoting RR's heritage? When i saw episodes, I never got that he was promoted as Samoan. Was he ever connected to the Usos in the beginning?

could be.
Randy Orton has ran afoul of the Wellness Policy on multiple occasions.

Yes and no, while not actual relatives the two families were as close as you can be without actually being family.
two of the patriarchs are 'blood' brothers. I understand having really close friends and referring to them as family....but it still doesn't make Dwayne and Joe related genetically.
So I'm not related to my mom because I'm adopted?
Quote:not related to the Rock at all. That is all kayfabe.

The Dudleys and E & C are kayfabe.
The Rock and company is some Samoan cultural stuff that existed long before this generation went to the WWE. It existed back when The Rock was "Dewey." This has to do with Peter Maivia being "adopted" by the Anoai family. So whether biological or not, The Rock was raised with the Anoai's being his family. No kayfabe.
the elder patriarchs of the two families are 'blood' brothers. You know where you cut your arms...and let your blood 'mingle' with a friend.
Sorry. kayfabe.

I'm glad Rollins is back.
He is really good in all phases of the show. His ringwork, his promos', his ability to ad-lib on the fly, his comedy stuff. His ability to get the whole storyline across in backstage skits and in the ring on the mic.
Seems like you could give him 20 minutes on the mic to explain how paint dries and he would find a way to make it entertaining and funny. All while still being a heel and contrarian.
He's good.

No. Not at all. It wasn't until the shield fell apart, the other two members began to rise on their own merits and RR was stuck being pushed without a great deal of crowd support. So the WWE had to basically explain why he was being pushed and hopefully gather support for RR.
I never said his heritage got him over with fans, but it is why he was given the title. It is why he is one of the most pushed wrestlers as well.

Must not have been paying attention to the number of injuries that occurred in his matches due to his inability in the ring.

Reigns was supposed have gotten the push before the other two but had to have emergency surgery before his first title match.

Ended Sting's career, albeit he was already semi-retired it seems.

I pay attention to what his peers say about him, how the fans react, and what I see when he is cutting a promo.
Your entitled to your opinion, as is everyone else.
The opinion that Rollins lacks in ring ability is one of extreme minority. But you are still more than welcome to it.

Actually he didn't do anything to Sting. There was no "botch" there.
He gave Sting a turnbuckle powerbomb (as he does everyone) and Sting already had a degenerative spine condition and was not aware of it yet.
He was no longer able to withstand that kind of bump.

If you really believe the Wellness rules is about protecting performers instead of CYA on drug use. Then do you not think they would have had a pre employment medical examination which would have found any signs of a degenerative spine condition?
Punk quit because of their lack of concern about the health and well being of the performers. Had a staph infection and was forced to continue performing. Went on for some time until he went to outside doctor and got proper treatment.
So what does WWE do? They sue him claiming defamation.
