Kermit is a great guy, but what you just posted above makes my blood boil! It is so important to have a few TOs at the end of the game and he blows thru them like he gets 9 per game. 03-banghead

Really?

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to get to the NCAAs and knock out MSU, but a five year extension? How long has he been with the MTSU program and what have you legitimately done in that time? One year where you win the CUSA tournament doesn't justify it. The rest of your season was average at best.

Seeing as how he was offered the job before Tyndall, you'd be doing cartwheels to have had him. He also turned down the job and recommended his buddy Eustachy before that.

In the last five years:

123 wins (27,28,24,19,25)
3 regular-season conference championships
2 NCAA tournaments
1 NCAA win
1 conference tournament championship
7 P5 wins

Essentially, his last five years are better than USM's history so...

If you look at the last 14 years.... MUTS have more wins 3-2 in the top 5 but S. Miss had more wins 6 out of the top 10 years.

S. Miss has 3 NCAA Bids and ranked twice In their history and 12 20+ win seasons to 2,0 & 4 for Kermit Davis while coaching muts
