RE: Sorry Memphis Miserables
Glad they shut down all that immorality...
http://m.memphisflyer.com/memphis/the-co...id=3110952
Quote:As a result, owners of the Gold Club, the Pony, and other Memphis strip clubs have declared their clubs are no longer adult businesses. At the Gold Club, dancers look more like Hooters girls in tight tees and Daisy Dukes, while dancers at the Pony sport bikinis that fully cover their breasts and buttocks.
And while dancers continue to perform sexually suggestive pole dances, they do so without ever flashing so much as a nipple. The city once known as home to some of the raunchiest strip joints in the country now falls under some of the strictest regulations.
Because the owners are not operating their clubs as adult businesses, they're allowed to continue selling alcohol. Plus, they're not required to follow one of the more restrictive pieces of the county ordinance, which requires that dancers remain six feet from patrons during any performance. But the results are PG-13-friendly bikini bars that are a far cry from the bare-it-all strip clubs they once were.
And justice caught up with ole Danny Owen...remember kids, nothing good happens after midnight.

Smart you are. Just about everyone has worked at Sears at some time in their life.
Try Broad street annex , then Crosstown and finally Poplar and Perkins.
Next , on to trucking industry. Good experiences all.
As I said, just about everyone has worked at Sears at some time in their life.
maybe if you're 50 or older...most people around here work for FedEx, AutoZone, International Paper, ServiceMaster, St Jude, etc.
Are you one of those people?

Used to go to printers alley way back in the day. Always after 4AM
Oh honey, they don't even open until 3a some days of the week.
They had to wait until Tiffany's and the gold club closed
Yup, and there was a pool hall out east called Primetime that was the after hours bar of choice for the girls at Platinum.
We called it slime time. Don't forget the getaway on Winchester and the Beerjoint on broad street

Forgive me as I don't get back to Memphis as often anymore, but isn't Whole Foods Market in its place?
I always stay downtown when coming home so apologize if I'm wrong.

I think it's more correct to say that developers are going to build a new shopping center there that will be anchored by Nordstrom Rack.
