I wonder why they don't list him as a commit for 2017? Even though he is counting against the 2017 scholarship total.

Houston would kill it in the B12.

Believe all rating services do not count transfers as part of recruiting classes.

They generally only rate first time signees and/or JUCO "grads".

Meanwhile, Briles still "recruiting/giving" to UH.

They are killing it in the 'Merican.

Baylor blowing up is doing good things for Houston. These guys want to transfer and stay in state, but aren't able to transfer to other Big 12 schools. Houston and Texas A&M are the only good choices (and if I had to pick between those I'd pick Houston every time).

ESPN is the only service who takes 4-year transfers into account when ranking the classes.

Compare the following 2016 ratings: ESPN (ranking Houston 30th and showing us with 23 commits) vs 247 and Rivals (ranking Houston 40th and 42nd and showing us with 19 and 20 commits).

We had 19 "regular" signees on signing day. This is what 247 measured. We added a late juco OL signee. That's the 20 Rivals measured.

Neither measured 4-year transfers Duke Catalon (UT), Kyle Allen (A&M) or Alex Leslie (Iowa St). ESPN did measure these transfers, and rated our class better as a result.

Thats why i generally see espn as the prime indicator for recruiting class rankings.
