One of my coworkers brought a copy of that one to work today...Stirred a lot of conversation in the workplace....IIRC, he spoke very highly of Marshall in his book. I'll be following him on Twitter as well, have a feeling I'm going to enjoy dialoguing with him about Conference USA as the season progresses...

His mag is the most accurate year in and year out. No one can be spot on, just too many variables such as injuries, etc.

He does have UTEP as one of the most improved teams in the country this year so for that reason, I'm in.

NO doubt he does his homework and is by far the best preseason magazine.....The others I think really do just go by last season and not much research is involved...

Nope he had Marshall Number 1 preseason last year...

He had Marshall 45th and La Tech 53rd above us, had us ranked 67th last preseason and 2nd in CUSA East:

THis season he has no one from CUSA ranked top 40 this despite the last 2 seasons having someone ranked inside TOp 25...He gives us as much respect as everyone else does which is not much...

Didn't realize that. I would have picked you guys over us last year preseason. We had too many unknowns and most thought rockhead would carry the team. That's a hard thing to do for a rb, and he was hurt, soo.....

Him not having anyone from CUSA in the top 40 doesn't say we aren't worthy, more or less says that we have a lot to prove with USM having a new coach, can MT progress, will Litton see progression for MU, who else will contend in the west. Lots a question marks for our conference this year.

TSN predicted 8 Conference USA teams will go bowling this upcoming season. (Florida Atlantic, UTEP, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Rice, Southern Miss, Western Kentucky, Louisiana Tech)...

It would be nice if we could start getting 8 teams bowl eligible.

Athlon who is run by Vandy grads and has never so much as thrown MT a bone much less provided an ounce of respect picked the the Raiders to win the East. That's the most interesting one for me so far given the history. I figured a couple might pick us this year but surprised one of them was Athlon.
