Molde won it outright his second.

Darnell won West his third and fourth, had to play Marshall for MACC in their stadium.

Fleck has been given resources those coaches didn't have, certainly far more than Cubit.

Time for him to put up.

From the hoops board:

Go Broncos!!!

Please stop with the excuses.

And don't settle

It's not what winners (or leaders) do.

Exactly right. I miss that guy.

I'm going to find that new public board of his and post with those humps. YA BUMS!!! 01-lauramac2

Quote:The only OOC opponent they have ranked ahead of us (69) is Northwestern (44), which makes their prediction of our record 9-4, 6-2 hard to understand.

Well the OOC record seems understandable, going 2-2. Basically going 1-1 against GA-Southern & @Illinois. That'd be pretty decent for a 69th ranked team. In conference, winning the west, going 6-2? I guess we'd have to have a tie-breaker in our favor, if that's the case. :)

I think @Akron's going to be tough, and I do believe Buffalo's going to be better than last year with their uber-winning coach. Two not-so-easy games. But having NIU & Toledo at home helps our tie-breaking chances, although I could see us laying an egg @CMU even despite beating both NIU+Toledo. :(

Quote:I don't want to be the negative nancy here, but I don't honestly see where the confidence in a great year is coming from. We've lost most of the middle of a mediocre defense and our #1 cover corner. Lost our #1 OL player and our #1 possession receiver. We have a solid returning QB and likely the #1 WR in the MAC... Couple that with the deepest RB group we can assume points will be scored, however I fear our defense is going to struggle up the middle.

Yeah, that's my worry too. Our D could step up, but it was nothing to fear or anything. Good news is, just as had some guys leave, we also have room for improvement anyway. Hopefully we have a better D, pound for pound, than last year. It is something to legitly be concerned about.

Check the scores in the MAC. Nobody plays great defense.

I actually thought Westerns D was good down the stretch, sans the BG game. It always seemed to be solid and get stops in the second half. DE is loaded. DT will be fine with Curle and Findley. If Spilane is healthy we'll be fine. Never thought we lost much when DePalma was out. If Traquill is healthy he'll be an upgrade to Adkins.

No excuses, time to put up or shut up.

Nice thing about our balanced offense is, we can give our D a chance to stay off the field and catch their breathe between segments.

On the other hand if by accident we quick strike or start busting loose on the ground game, well, that works too.

Recently I've rewatched the MSU game, the OSU game, the Bahamas Bowl. We are definitely working in the fast lane.

This should be a real fun year, I have tickets and a room in Evanston for the NW opener, yeah three months but I can't wait for football to kick off.

That's awesome DE. I'm jealous.
