Garibaldi's was the originator of the to go plastic cup. In college it seemed like everybody's cupboard was filled with them. I think every restaurant in town has one these days.

Not just you. They changed the filler. Did the same to the ground prime at Humphrey's (Folk's Folly little side shop.) Neither are as good as they once were.

Update - toasted ravioli and margherita pizza at Garibaldi's is still on point and fly AF.

I made a similar comment to my wife when we ate at the Poplar Huey's during our last visit to Memphis. It was not bad but it was not the same. I have never tried Roxie's but Top's is hard to beat for a burger.

AGREED!! Huey's now absolutely sucks.

I had one filled with beer at many fraternity parties back in the day. It was part of my "good dishes" collection. lol

My kitchen is overstocked with to-go plastic cups from Garibaldi's, the Deli, Newk's, Gus's, among others.

No, I am actually an adult. I'm just in my twenties still.

Mike helped a lot of us make it and always had a big smile when we moved on in our careers.

Give me a garlic cheese bread. That is the ticket.

This may be true. But their pizza sucks. I should try a sammy, because every time I go there for pizza, I regret it.

Huey's has transformed from a dive bar that served good burgers to a local chain that is good at what they do. It might be the most family friendly joint in town and they are pros at customer service. They have created a good niche while still having a semi late night bar crowd. Interesting metamorphosis.
