Q and A with Hoops Coach K (yes, I know)

Almost no mention of defense except for Jon-Jon needing to get better. Unfortunately, this is the worst example of coach-speak I've heard from Coach K since he's been here. Still, it offers some insight, particularly on the incoming guards and Taylor Adway.

He is very high on Adway and says that he regrets not playing him more this past season. Hopefully, he is a difference maker for the upcoming season!

I think he means he's active. Of course, I wasn't always sure the bodies we had in the Cross era were live in any sense of the word.

Coach speaks. Of course it is coach speak

Here is to hoping we can compete for a championship. Win those crucial 4 games in March

Schedule talk would have been a nice addition to interview

RE: Q and A with Hoops Coach K (yes, I know)
schedule has mostly been set for a couple months

home: Loyola, Detroit, Green Bay, Youngstown

road: Middle Tenn, St Joes, Cleveland St

Nashville tourney: possible opponents Middle Tenn again, Belmont

Probably another home game or two against lower profile comp, maybe another good road team, I think most of the exempt tourneys are filled. UT might play 29 games this year instead of the 30-31 big exempt tourneys like alaska shootout allow you to play.

Then why didn't you?

I totally agree, kept asking myself last year, is Atway in the coaches doghouse?

Fwiw, coach k continues to offer high profile and well rated recruits, some that Mac clubs wouldn't normally even try for. Just offered a 6 foot 5 pg out of Dallas who has an early Kansas offer.
