Love to see new softball/baseball facilities on the main campus. Got to be the best in the MAC

Here's a picture of the stadium seating walls in those 3 middle sections all knocked down. It's a pretty big area for an open view of the field.

Wow, if I'm seeing what I think I'm seeing, they cut it right down to a curb. But, how are they going to keep people from just standing there watching the game? Even though it will be open, won't it become a crowded bottleneck and you won't be able to see out there anyway? Maybe we have to wait and see what the finished product is, though.

Could it be similar to the stadium in Boca Raton?

Possibly, would be nice on the Westside where there might be the space and height but probably not this unfortunately

let alone this

Only this

but in their case it seems to have been done because there's no other access to the seats. It doesn't seem to add anything to Glass Bowl other than possible traffic jam as already mentioned. If they can pull off anything even remotely close to FAU Stadium concessions without creating a people movement problem, more power to them.

Outhouses! Cool! That's about as expanded as could be asked. Yep, that's the South End. Were there restrooms there before? I don't spend much time on that side but I seem to recall they were at the North End near the tower.

Both, and very dated.

We need to get rid of the ticketbooth on wheels with bent siding and 2 by 4's hanging on for dear life. It's on the north east side of the stadium one flight of stairs off ground level.

according to the plans I still have (when I bid on the project). There is going to be new large restroom on the north and south end. Behind the south restrooms will be the eastside main kitchen and storeroom. and there will be 2 additional concession stands in the center under the, hopefully temporary, grandstand.

Hopefully the new rest rooms will be heated as well as the old one were. A few years back I spent the entire half time of the Buffalo game in the north end rest room thawing out ----it was very warm in there which was very much appreciated by many.

Can clearly see the changes to the seats and the wall removal in this image from Nick P's twitter:

Definitely looks like the FAU stadium but what's inside is what counts. Why do it if it has no positive repercussions? There really doesn't seem the space under those stands for independent concessions and would they put them on the Eastside before or without also putting them on the Westside? Would love a Chik-Fil-A. Give that South End-Zone guy a decent place to operate. Maybe a brick oven for some decent pizza.

We really need to stop expecting a brand new stadium out of a $3 million dollar renovation.

The area under these stands was horrible. They are trying to improve it.

Lights are hardly brand new, I think those and bathrooms was about all anyone was hoping for. Unless they actually change the concessions, anything they'd be doing to build new limestone coated booths would be lipstick on a pig. As for the opening, you're not curious what they're planning with it? A little speculation is fun. For 3 million, I'm sure they'll manage more than bathrooms and try.
