Weird because the story on the bridge opening says the sidewalks are 6 feet wide. It didn't say whose feet, though.

Sounds reasonable, EXCEPT the current east side renovation seems to suggest that the objective of their master plan is to REMOVE premium seating, not CREATE it. 05-stirthepot

They didn't look very wide.

There are two things that would be helpful for this thread. Your phone camera and the Tapatalk app and a measuring tape.

When I asked the PM about it he said 5 feet....

Be nice to have a footbridge next to it, just to keep pedestrians away from the traffic during peak usage.

I can verify that it will support a pickup truck, a hefty guy and a large Labrador. Looks nice, too.

Take a pic and post.

RE: East side of Glass Bowl renovation/construction thread
I forgot to take my camera again (drrrr....) but I was there yesterday. So here's a little summary:

- Make no mistake, there is still plenty to do, but things are taking shape.
- They were pouring more concrete yesterday. I would say the concrete work is 90% done, maybe 100% today.
- The stone pillars have good sized lighting scones attached to them which look pretty good.
- The iron fencing is not up yet, but they have set steel posts, one on each side of each stone pillar, to attach the fencing to.
- At the top of the steps they have put in a retaining wall so that the slab could be extended out toward the road a little further than it was.
- They were installing some steel railing along the edge of the slab toward the road. Couldn't tell for sure if it was stainless or galv'd to be painted.
- They were doing some repair work on the old railing, welding some cracks maybe. There was also some welding going on under the stands.
- They were doing some fill and grading work on the slope along the road.
- The addition for the restrooms is painted now. It is painted a sand color to match the stonework, but it does have a horizontal midnight blue stripe.
- The doors are now installed on the addition.
- There are ticket booths integrated in the two corners of the side of the addition which faces toward the road.

I may run back over today or tomorrow. If I do I'll try to remember to take my camera.

Drove by the stadium this afternoon. All of the exposed steel work has now been painted midnight blue. Looks great.

Sorry, no pics. 01-lauramac2

Some landscaping and the new iron fence should look real good. The bathroom on the south end looks huge!
