Our appeal would be to offer them immediate playing time for the Tigers. You never know until you try, and I am glad to see us make the effort. If our coaches had your attitude, they wouldn't make this effort at all. You have to pick your spots.

If the coaches had your attitude they would be totally putting their resources in the wrong place. No offense, just the situation.

For teams like Memphis, this is not about swaying kids that are likely going to UT but identifing the diamonds in the rough that maybe playing out of position in high school ball or that may otherwise go to a MTSU, North Alabama or a UT Chattanooga and become all conference players and wind up in the NFL. Kids that might have never entertained camping in Memphis.

I can't believe this BS has been on this board without being answered.

We can beat out any school for in-state players, with utk the % might be 5 or 10%, with lower tier schools SEC schools like KY-U, Vandy, Ole Miss, Ark, Miss State the number is probably 40 or 50% with WKU, MTSU, UAB the number should be around 80%, with N alabama, utc it should be 95%

Exactly - you are correct sir.

No, you both are are full of bs, Players that Tenn is interested in are likely going to other camps put on by recruiting services in partnership with appeal manufacturers or to UT''s on campus camps. Memphisis reaching out to players that will not come to Memphis for a variety of reasons particularluly financial and to build better relationships with coaches in that region and there's where leveling playing fields with UT and others start. This should never be looked at from a "we gonna steal UT kids" pov, it's discovering more talent and doing evals with your own eyes and building relationships.

Some of this thinking is right up there with thinking Okie State is going to bring 10,000 with them.
