And the guy plays behind what might be the best OLine in the NFL.

Agreed which was also the case last year...Romo is a great quarterback who's 36 and a step or two slower with a bum collarbone...personally I hope he stays healthy even though I hate the cowboys...class guy and great leader

Dallas is going to prolly address the defensive line first....then hope that Connor Cook or Dak Prescott is still available.

That facts don't really back up the popular conception there.

Romo hasn't missed many games in his carer outside the 2 years he broke the collarbone. He's started 112 of 117 games outside of those 2 seasons.

And the collarbone should not break again now.

I hope you're a better predictor of Romo's health than you were of where Elliott would be drafted. lol

I want the guy to stay healthy. He's one of the ten or so elite quarterbacks in the league. I just don't have as much confidence in his continued health at his age as you do. I hope I'm wrong.

Dude you picked Ramsey, you were wrong too.

The fact is I don't have a ton of confidence either for a 36 year old QB, but I am confident that they have tried to take the proper moves by drafting that offensive line, drafting Elliott and they tried to get Paxton. And they will likely take a QB today or tomorrow.

Isn't that the point of this? Isn't that what they need to be doing? Isn't that what they just did?

And since you are talking petty smack like that, we are going to revisit your 7 round draft projection for the cowboys and see if you got a single pick right the entire draft. So far you are 0 for 2.

According to all reports, that's not what happened at all.

And drafting Ezekiel Elliot to run behind that Offensive line is hardly "getting schooled".

Thats absurd.

Fair enough.

So far I'm 0 for 2 because they won't pick Prosise now. I'd love to see Dodd at #34 though.

I tried to warn you about the unpredictability and the inaccuracy of mock drafts.

The NFL draft is a crap shoot after the first 10 picks.

Predicting rounds 2-7 is a total waste of time. The only thing it does is gauge what round a player seems to be in.

You could get the Dodd pick right, but that will likely be all. And I'm not even sure they will take Dodd if he is still there at #34. They may take a QB.

RE: For the cowboy faithful around here
I never really thought they would take Ramsey in the end. Though that was all the noise this last week.

Ramsey isn't a "win now" pick, and thats all the cowboys talk about is winning NOW, doing this in Romo's remaining window. Jalen Ramsey is more of an investment pick who would have given them added depth.

There is no real evidence they he would have been a game changing pick at all. He is a CB with 3 career INT's.

Elliott has the potential to be a "game changer" and help both sides of the ball. And Elliot is a "win now" pick.

Elliott's peak will be his first 4-5 years. I other words, NOW.

Though JJ now claims EE was the pick all along, I fully agree with you.

They wanted and NEEDED Joey Bosa, but the Tunsil situation made the Chargers take Bosa instead. The Chargers really needed an OT.

Ezekiel Elliot is one heck of a fall back position though for this team.

He will be a MONSTER behind this line, and he will help protect the defense since they didn't get their man and will still have DL issues.

Cowboys will probably have the most explosive running game in the NFL this year.

The indoor field is actually going to be used by all the local Frisco High Schools. I think they have 8 Frisco High Schools either open or under construction. Frisco elected to go with smaller high schools and more of them as opposed to the giant high schools like they have in neighboring Plano. Here is the story. This is more like a small city than anything else at 91 acres. http://sportsday.dallasnews.com/dallas-c...ity-frisco

I know thats a fun and easy thing to say for some, but the chances Romo misses a lot of games this year is incredibly low.

He has started all 16 most of his career, and hadn't missed but 2 starts that last 4-5 years before that collarbone break last year.

The clavicle isn't an issue moving forward either. He was totally healed months ago and the doctors now claim another break is highly unlikely thanks to the Mumford procedure he had.

I've been to Mumford - I wouldn't trust any procedure named after it.

I am familiar with that. Our youngest son just moved out of the giant (ridiculously) Allen ISD to McKinney.

Cowboys just drafted Notre Dame LB Jaylon Smith.

A lot of people had him as the #1 overall player before the injury in the bowl game.
