I give DJ credit. He is a very wise young man. DJ has a bright future in Memphis long term. The guy is just so likable he can NAME HIS JOB after basketball.

I mean who wouldn't buy their insurance, etc from a guy like DJ?

Most players don't parlay their Memphis connections. The smart ones do such as Dwight Boyd who has had a fabulous career in the corporate community. Use the name, add a great personality, and work hard. The money and accolades are right their for every former tiger. j wilfong, etc....tons of great examples

That's ironic considering DJ is one of the lowest ranked recruits in the history of the program and I dont even know why I said ranked, nobody had a clue who he was.

Yet, mysteriously, everyone knows now and he's getting paid to play the game he loves. Rankings aren't always right.

I wonder how long before someone comes in here and bashes DJ's career on account of his support of Tubby.

Not a logical argument, it very well might not happen, but I've always liked DJ and I hope he does well.

Ironic? Your post rhymes with ironic and I'm trying to figure out why I would even respond to it. DJ is a freak athlete who played his heart out in a Tiger uniform, was a great teammate and truly exciting to watch. He was an Army brat and if you understood what that means, well you might have a hint why he was somewhat over looked as to the inability to participate in AAU etc to the level so many others do. Yes he was a tweener but we haven't seen hops on a Tiger team like that since Michael Wilson. Why knock Tiger players who represented this team, university and city the way DJ did? Time to add yes, yet another to "Ye ole ignore a poster" file.

That wasn't a knock. Everything he said was true. DJ was not on anyone's radar, but he turned out to be a truly special player.

Don't understand why you read that as a dig against DJ. The post was clearly meant to show that rankings aren't everything.
