Apparently, in order for Texas to get back on top, they need Houston coaches, Houston staffers and Houston recruits.
Oh, the irony.
Can you imagine Ohio State coming after Cincy's head coach, five Cincy assistants, Cincy's strength coach, Cincy's director of football operations, Cincy's director of player personnel, and a half dozen of Cincy's recruits?
The Buckeye fans would be "What the hell are we doing? We can't do better than that?"

Man that's damn Herman is a scumbag. He apparently has studied from the Calipari handbook of coaching. It's not that Texas has to have Houston recruits as much as a need to damage them enough to make it appear that their success was owed to him and without him they'll fall.

Applewhite will find a way not to get them.
Man Applewhite is in a death match for Houstons future. You really should cut him some slack. Herman and Texas are out to put an end to the H town takeover. For a first time head coach playing from behind, he's doing a great job, and hopefully this backfires on Texas. If they think Houston level recruits are going to get Texas back to the pinnacle of college football they're in for a major fail

Couldn't agree with this more. And to think people were mocking me for saying we should have fired him after the navy game...

Jumping to a Top 5 program means you don't need AAC recruits. Very odd job by Herman. True colors coming out, sorry UH fans.

Sounds like he is following Taggart's M.O.
The saddest part is those athletes that are being suckered into following them to those schools now that the coaches are struggling recruiting and that next year with a full year aboard those coaches will be looking for higher targets. I will bet most of those kids end up transferring out within two years.

M1T4...What have you heard about Ben Hutch? It looks like he's got a little interest to both of our schools. Is he just adding drama to a process for no reason and sticking with UL or is there anything there?

If either of us flip him, it would be a massive coupe. Louisville coaching staff has some deep ties to that region of Tennessee. Good luck and congrats if you get him.

temples new coach isn't as good of a recruiter as rhule was
temple was recruiting against low p5 kids with rhule (rutgers, pitt, duke unc etc.)
almost all of temple's new recruits were fcs guys...
it isn't a full cycle so you can't judge him yet but not a great sign
