That is a nice write up by the UAB writer. I will be happy to escape with a series win...

UAB has "trap series" wriTTTen all over it. We've swept 3 straight CUSA series and are coming off a midweek win at #5 Ole Miss. UAB has always given us fits and especially in Birmingham. I'll 2nd your motion in that I will gladly take a series win....but don't get my wrong, I still want us to sweep.

We've played pretty well at home. On the road, we've won once all year. I wouldn't be surprised to see us steal one game. That's about it though.

7 losses by 1 run each (2 wins by 1 run each to be fair).....with a 12-21 record that could just as easliy been 19-14. The Creighton series you guys lost 2 games by a run each and the other game was a 2 run loss. A couple more runs and your record and RPI are top 100. That's what scares me is that it's not like you haven't been blown out in all of your losses.

I would just point out that Taylor Braley is out for the season. He was injured making a defensive play vs. Charlotte.

Definitely a nerve-wracking series for USM fans this weekend.

We still have FAU/RICE/ULL/TULANE/UNO left on the schedule, so we need to win these games against "lesser" (I put it into quotations because of record) teams if we still want to be in the hosting picture.
