RE: 2016-17 Preliminary Bowl Schedule
The Camellia Bowl is in Montgomery. I like the date of December 17, but almost all our games on this one date doesn't do the conference any favors in terms of exposure.

It's not as bad as you think. It's a Saturday and there are a lot of bowls now moving to that date. We don't get the exposure of the post Christmas games, but we've never had those to begin with anyway outside of Go Daddy when it was the last non National Title bowl of the season.

I'd hope there would be little to no overlap of the games. That's my biggest concern. With the Cure Bowl not being on the ESPN networks I would think there would be overlap.

Unless you put more of them on mid-week there isn't really any other Saturday to work with. Maybe the NOLA bowl will grow (or maybe the Cure with the AAC tie-in) and moved to the Saturday after Christmas. I get what you are saying, but we just at the bottom of the order now. I just wouldn't want another bowl game moved near Christmas, making for another low attended game. Other than that there really isn't any open date. Of course having a ton of SBC teams on all day with little competition could be a good thing (especially if we win all those games). 04-cheers
