I don't know about that. If they lose to those a few games to those high RPI teams then they may drop but if they win then that combined with their strong non-conference schedule shouldn't see them drop too much. You have to remember that other teuams and conferences are playing similar high RPI teams.

Warren Nolan currently predicts they'll finish with an 11 RPI.

So CofC has decided to crap the bed and lose to Hofstra 2 in a row. I know they are inconsistent but didn't expect them to lose the series and possibly be swept by a team with 9 wins and 230+ RPI going into the weekend. But that's what is great about baseball.

The good news is, outside of App State, the SBC usually is pretty good about making sure even its bottom teams have RPI's around 150 at worst.

Though looking at what Arkansas State is returning next year (One player) we might challenge that a bit next season.

That is good news for Coastal. The Big South is inconsistent - last season the BSC was a top 10 RPI conference and had 6 sub-100 teams. The best team last year was the best team the school (Redford) ever had but were senior heavy and are struggling this year.

As far as CofC goes, I don't mind them struggling last as long as we can beat them to even the series this year and continue to do well. That should give us a leg up with possible regional hosting candidacy. The main issues is that there are 4 SC schools (UofSC, Clemson, Coastal, and CofC) doing pretty good in baseball this year and not sure that the committee would award more than 2 schools in state.

You don't take much stock in RPI? Then you clearly have no idea how to make a regional in college baseball. Buddy, it's ALL about the RPI. Without it, you have to resort to winning the conference tournament.

You clearly don't care about the RPI, because your coaching staff has done a piss poor job of scheduling which makes your RPI so bad. Schedule the right teams, and if you play well against your schedule... And have an RPI in the low 40's come Tourny time, you have a very good shot at an at-large bid.

Not putting much stock into RPI for college baseball, now that's funny.

I said I don't take must stock in it, not that the NCAA committee doesn't and I think it's a flawed metric. Do you honestly think ULL at 21-11 is the 23rd best team in the nation? You have 1 good OOC win against Rice,no conference sweeps, and a big fat 0 wins over P5 schools... Congrats on sweeping Sam Houston, I guess. That Sacred Heart series must have been tough. Yeah ULL definitely deserves to be ranked 100 spots ahead of TXST with almost identical records. If this was a competition of who can beat an easy schedule you guys would have a legit shot at an NCAA title but this is supposed to be a ranking of how good a team is and I call bull****.
Cajuns current OOC SOS is #1 and overall SOS is #14....real easy schedule we have right?

We obviously have a long way to go, but our RPI just got a good boost this weekend.

Haha - have to give you props here. After we beat CofC they then get swept by 200+ RPI Hofstra, beat by us again, and then lose 1-2 to near 200 RPI JMU. The cougars' RPI is now in the 50s

CofC appears to be in a free fall. They have won one game in their last 8.
