Baseball tidbits
While looking at a few baseball odds and ends, here's which CUSA teams miss out on each other:

USM - ODU
FAU - La Tech
Rice - Marshall
WKU - Charlotte
FIU - MT
UAB - UTSA

Also while looking at each team's schedule I came across was some unique OOC games coming up:

FAU and UAB both play a 2 game midweek series at Ohio St.
UAB is at ODU the last weekend of April then goes to Ohio St for Tuesday-Wednesday games and then to Marshall for a CUSA weekend series

FIU plays at USF on a Tuesday (not unusual) then plays at Louisville the next night. FIU then plays at WKU on that weekend which explains the single game at Louisville but not having a travel day is unusual.

Lastly, from warrennolan website FAU has the 5th best road record at 8-2while Rice and USM are tied for 10th at 6-2

Interesting stuff! Thanks..

Rice has a little bit of a quirk in that we don't play a midweek game from April 15th to May 4th.

A few about USM posted in another thread but probably better suited here:

This year we are 21-2 on weekend series but 3-6 during midweek games. The 2 weekend losses ironically were on the only 2 days we played a DH due to weather.
Dating back to last year USM has won 23 of its last 24 CUSA regular season games

Couple of thoughts on the Monarchs. (1) We got a really good break on not playing USM. (2) So far, it's feast or famine in conference play. The Monarchs got swept by Rice and FAU, but swept WKU and are up 2-0 on FIU going into today's game. (3) While all of that was going on we managed to take a game from UVA.

Yep. Feast. Or. Famine.

RE: Baseball tidbits
Updating some info and I'm using this info based off warrennolan.com "streaks and statistics" link:

Most wins: USM at 8 with 26 wins
Current home win streak: USM at 9 with 8 straight
Current road win streak: USM at 2 with 6 straight
Best Road Record: Rice and USM tied at 7 with a 7-2 road record
Runs allowed per game: FAU at 17 with 3.6
Scoring margin: FAU at 12 with 3.5, USM at 20 with a 3.0
Winning %: USM tied at 11 with a 76.5%

A few below on USM so feel free to include/pimp your team:

USM:
16-2 home record, 7-2 road record
22-2 "weekend series" record..the 2 losses were days we ended up playing a DH due to weather and we went 1-1 on both of those DH days
Only 1 loss against a RPI team over 100 and that was at #101 Marshall (so get your RPI in the 90's or better Marshall 05-stirthepot)
Going back to last season USM has won 21 of its last 22 CUSA regular season games (earlier in thread I got ahead of myself and said it was 23 of 24)
15 of our remaining 22 regular season games are against teams in the top 100 (next 3 aren't and final 4 aren't)
