Hewitt is off the books now.

Really? According to this article from about 2 weeks ago, they still owe him $900k/year for the next 3 years.

Heck, if it'll make 'em consider Josh, offer 'em Keelon, Dedric, KJ plus $5 million AND promise to throw the games in Atlanta! Nothing the basketball program has would be worth keeping if losing it meant getting rid of the problem.

Why would they care to try.. they aren't trying to sale schools and donors on the "sports experience" of the school. Would rather sink more money into building a startup/tech community around their engineering resources in Atlanta.

Georgia Tech may target Cuonzo.

That would open California.

Interesting.

Has been buzzing (no pun intended) for a few days now. Cuonzo familiar with ATL recruiting terrain (Jaylen Brown).

Martin has been interested in pursuing opportunities elsewhere “for some time,” a source close to him said.

I thought he did it "the right way".

*sell not sale

They're as sports crazy as anyone. It's always been more about football, but Cremins, and Hewitt's early years, proved basketball is a draw. In fact, basketball means so much to them that they committed to pay $7.2 million just to get rid of Hewitt. Plus, their AD is supposed to be a basketball guy (whatever that means).

Talk about second chances, I hope Josh realizes how lucky he is getting this job. Though I suspect in his mind it's a well-earned step up.

Do we think Josh will take ALL of his assistants with him? Maybe even promote one of them to head assistant?
