What I like about the new turf:
-the new MAC logos are much bigger and bolder than the old ones
-the blue turf on the sidelines is a great addition
-the lettering 'Glass Bowl' on the sidelines is also a great addition
-the outline of the numbers makes it stand out more

And in case anyone was wondering why the Rocket is slanted differently, there is a new NCAA rule that went into effect last year that states logos must not touch the dashes at any point.

Agreed. How long has the GB had the current lighting system? Looks like it's from the 70s, maybe 80s.

The video posted on facebook yesterday discussed the logo on the field. Apparently there is a new regulation that the logo has to fit within the hash marks now

I think u are the only one

Outside of NW Ohio no one will know about the university with just the Rocket going across the state of Ohio!

I am fine with being the only one, but I have seen a lot of people wearing this T-Shirt around campus, I like it!!!

http://store.utrockets.com/product.aspx?id=1487&cat=5

The nose of the rocket should be piercing Columbus. Then I'd buy it.

I wore this shirt in Florida and got compliments.
Not entirely sure what aspect of it they were complimenting though.
The rocket or the state of Ohio.

Agreed with everything mentioned above, looks good in photos, can't wait to see it in person.

Almost exactly the reasons I like it less. I see value in subtlety.

In the long run, I don't imagine the blue sidelines/"glassbowl" will be a distraction or an attraction to me. Not sure. Players will be standing on it and it does sort of provide a framing if they match color with the walls behind (which I believe they did?). The MAC logo is the biggest disappointment and the HUGE bright white yard markers is close. Nothing against MAC or the logo, it just doesn't need to be part of the show. Small and subtle works better for me. Maybe they won't look so huge and standoutish in real life.

The student section does look nicer to me.

New time lapse of turf install. You can see some of the work being done on the stands as well.

The MAC may stipulate that any new turf have the logo a certain size.

Hmmmm...if it makes us faster wouldn't it make opponents faster as well? Maybe it's percentages: if we run 20 mph and opponents average 18, and the turf makes everyone 10% faster, we now run an average of 22mph and opponents 19.8, a net gain of .2 mph for Toledo. Yeah, that must be it.

The De Moivre's are particularly impressive.

The trim around looks really nice. Everything does, except the too large MAC signs (regardless any conference requirements).

I see a space underneath the stands where they could fit a Chik-Fil-A. And when they move the light standards back, please make sure the lights don't blind the people on the Westside. Thank you.

Well, it's really tough not to be impressed by the BGSU remodel.
