Congrats on a heck of a year Little Rock. To have won the conference tournament after winning the regular season championship is a pretty good accomplishment in and of itself, but to follow that up with a NCAA tourney win makes this an awesome year for you guys any way you look at it. Now you need to go to work on retaining your coach.

For 13 years we talked about how we could build a program that could:

Phase one be top 3 in the regular season
Phase 2 make the finals of the sbc tournament
Phase 3 win enough games to get a good seed in the NCAA tournament
Phase 4 win a game

We got all of it in one year.

Now, the question is will it be another 13 years...

**** it living large like a college student in NV for a weekend on 21% credit cards!

According to "Hoop Dirt" Beard has interviewed at UNLV.

side comment-back in the good ole days a coach would not even consider leaving after just ONE year.

Also "bigger" schools would not even look at coaches after only one year at a school.

I hope my personal recommendation to UNLV Athletics works. I told them what an excellent coach he was, and how he'd have the Rebels in the NCAA Tournament in a 2 years tops.

I think he has to take it. Money wise it's got to be in the 650k plus range . It's a spot other have won at.

If he stays we have the whole team back minus Higgins but with some d1 transfers that set out last year.

Good times. He proved you can win at most any mid major and do it rebuilding a roster in a month.
