Bogan
Is there something deceptive about Bogan on the field? He had more touchdowns last year where once he was past that 1st level, it was just 50 yards straight ahead with nobody around...more than I ever remember a Bronco back having.

Or was that scheme? Like GSU?

RE: Bogan
He has the best vision I've seen in a long time. If there is a seam, he finds it. Watch that 4th and one TD against Miami. Some RBs would have kept going wide and run right into the linebacker. He cuts it up, leaves the LB in his tracks and takes it to the house.

Hiller, after all these years you must know the rule about starting a thread with the players name. The first thing that comes to peoples mind is he's quit , He transferred, or he's injured for life.

You're suspended for three days

Yes, I felt the same way at first. I thought he was in trouble for something. Phew!

RE: Bogan
After 2 games, Bogan is 17th overall in rushing yards with 234. Think he breaks one for over 30 yards at Illinois after our OLine opens that nice wide path?

I hope so. Their D isn't going to be as strong as NW. So I see us getting some break-aways unlike against NW. But what I do fear is too many stuffs on our RBs here and there breaking some drives. Hopefully our non-Davis WRs step up -- allowing our running game to get some ground! Dunno how much it's going to rain, though...

I think the rain is all supposed to pass through a couple hours before game-time.

I think that one of the things that is really helping with our run game (in addition to the afore-mentioned vision of our RB's) is that a large part of our running game stays inside of the tackles where we can create numbers advantages with Ernsberger. It is hard for the D to cheat up and stuff the run when you have to double Davis all day and Henry and Thompson are starting to show themselves as pretty capable. It is kind of a pick your poison scenario. The problem for the other team is that we could rush for 300+ or pass for 400+ depending on what you commit to stopping.

I think a key to today is getting Ernsberger a few targets early on. Make the defense think about what he is doing every play. Keep them from keying in on him to read the run. You getting their LB's guessing and that is where you are going to start to see some of those longer runs.
