RE: Where would Memphis play if not FEF?
Houston had 12 NCAA appearances in a time period when it was not easy to make the NCAA Tournament, especially as an independent for much of that time. And did you know that UH played in the college basketball "Game of the Century" that still influences the sport and neither Clyde or Akeem played in it? So much for UH having just one shining moment (and there's more history as well).

Even being polite and ignoring certain penalties, Houston has more Final Four appearances than Memphis. Not bad a for a program in a 30 year coma. All those good/great teams over the years and Memphis still can't outshine UH historically (both influence and total accomplishment)?

You are making yourself look stupid trying to compare the basketball success of Memphis & Houston

Come on. Houston had one very very brief shining moment with Akeem and Clyde

Yes UH was awesome in this period. We all agree

But to try to compare UC/UM/UL's success to UH is asinine

Does the name Elvin Hayes ring a bell?
