This I can see. Again I'm more frustrated on the principle of accepting one job and not honoring that acceptance. I understand they pay a little more and he's friends with taggert
lol dude, the AAC sucks but on it's worse day it's better than that trash conference you are in

I am sorry yall didnt get the one you wanted but when a job pays almost 3 times as much and is in a better location, its not exactly shocking.
We lost 4 coaches this year and most to P5 schools.... its part of the deal.
Uhh...where on earth are you getting our numbers from? Hiller was going to make roughly 175K base here, plus incentives. The last OL coach made 205K plus incentives. For a lateral move, I hope he enjoys it.
And yes, we'll blame him. Blake Anderson described Hiller's departure as "disloyal" and "evidence he's not the type of coach we want working here" This isn't anything unusual to us. We lost 3 coaches to P5 schools this year already, but we don't see it as honorable to accept a job one place, and then take another job two days later.
I understand you being upset about how the move happened but you are fooling yourself if you think that going from Arkansas State in the SunBelt to South Florida in the American is a lateral move
Think it? We preach it. Our athletic department is very open about who we see as lateral moves and who is not.
That's not disrespect to south Florida, you guys have a strong program, we just don't see any AAC program as a step up in football
You can preach and repeat it but that doesn't mean is true.let me know the time an AAC coach leaves the AAC to join the Sun Belt for the same position. Or let me know the time an AAC school leaves the league to join the Sun Belt.
Not putting down your school but the Sun Belt is not the same as the AAC
This may be the funniest thread Ive seen in a while... he actually is trying to say the funbelt is equal to the AAC.... and while were at it, lets say that the ACC is just as good as the SEC too.
Freaking delusional. Our assistant pool is more then their entire Team makes. (Assistant pool of $1.12 million according to the Arkansas Democratic Gazette) and their Head coach makes $700K, for a total of $1.82 million.... Our Assistant pool is $2.4 million with our HC at $1.8 million average.... So yep, were basically identical.

You are paying your HC less than every coach in the AAC, but the AAC isn't an upgrade?
