A little over a month ago, Memphis was #71, and had a defense ranked #19. Partner actually commented on the team's success on defense during a couple of interviews at the time.

The offense has actually improved slightly, but the defensive rating has really tanked.

We have quite a few RPI anchors on our schedule this year. Some of it is bad luck, but the program really needs to be more careful about the small conference teams it schedules.
