Coog fans only predict the future, leave the past (ooc) in the past.

RE: 1st Place Temple Owls
Temple is good when they get outside shooting, which they have seemingly got against the good teams in conference play (certainly got it against UC in both games).

They were also routed by 30-ish at home by Houston and lost to ECU and Memphis. Who is their best win in OOC, Farliegh Dickinson? Their saving grace is that their OOC schedule was really tough, which is why as someone said they in a sense do owe the league a win over 'Nova.
It also wouldn't hurt if SMU took out Gonzaga.
When your OOC schedule is Prairie View A&M, FAMU, ULM, UT-RGV, Eastern Illinois, Nicholls State, NCCU, Wyoming, 2 completely average mid-majors in URI and Murray State, and your 2nd best OOC win is Grand Canyon University, I don't think you should talk down to another program for their OOC schedule. Congrats on beating LSU, but short of that, your OOC schedule would've been an upgrade if you replaced most of those teams with DeSoto and Atascocita.
The point you missed in this exchange is that Temple is not necessarily legit because although they have some good wins, they also have some questionable losses and struggled out of conference against good teams. Maybe saying they owe the 'Nova game was extreme (in the words of another person) but it wouldn't hurt since they, like everyone else, are cannibalizing the league. And Houston owes it to itself and everyone else to schedule better and win against that schedule.

When you play an OOC remotely comparable to UNC, @Wisconsin, Butler, Utah, Villanova, and 21 win St. Joe's, you can talk.

I think the point is that anyone can play that ooc schedule and lose to those teams. Win with that schedule and you could freely boast all you want and no one would doubt you.

RE: 1st Place Temple Owls
And my point is that Houston isn't in any discussion because they don't remotely play anything comparable to an average D-I OOC schedule. We are very much 'on the bubble' at the moment, by the way.

You are correct, it is our OOC that is killing us, because we have 3 wins against the first place teams of the SEC AND AAC and yet we haven't approached bubble conversation.

Absolutely true. Your OOC performance was garbage. So now what do we do?

Holy balls you are a clown. Houston lost to freaking Grand Canyon at home, a team transitioning to D1, not eligible for anything for another 2 years, who has beaten no one. You also lost to freaking USF, no offense USF fans, but a crappy a@@ team. Give it a rest junior, you continue to embarrass yourself.

And again, if you played (then #1) UNC, @Wisconsin, (then #22) Butler, (then #16) Utah, 21 win St. Joe's and current #1 Villanova, you would be looking at an under .500 season instead of where you currently sit--a projected 6 seed in the NIT.

Oh, who cares, what is this, a girth measuring contest? We all need each other otherwise it would be a 1-bid league for sure.
