Uh, the last two years is worse than Tic and Johnny, you realize that right? If you don't believe me, just go check the numbers.

In the two years that Tic was here, he was 2-13 against the top 50.

In the last two years, Josh is 0-15.

Tic had 25 wins against the top 200, Josh has 13.

19 of Josh's wins are against teams over 200 in the RPI. 19 of the 32 wins.

The schedule has been dumbed down, and the conference is easier now than it was then.

And the last three years of Coach Finch were sweet 16, first round exit, NIT.

Kinda think you don't really remember that time.

Johnny was in the middle of a 6-year NCAA drought. Finch to Tic to Jones to Cal. 4 coaches, 6 years, 1 favorite son fired, 1 national scandal, 0 NCAA's, 17 wins a year. That was worse.

I truly think he cared until about 7-8 games ago; now that he doesn't, he has trashed our accomplishments, bragged about what he has done in his 7 years (nothing worth bragging about) and doesn't care now whether we win or lose because he has his $10M no matter what and public pressure has broken him.

It disgusts me to see him tell the players to go out and have a good time and give up 98 points and not coach a lick; and play guys who are not ready so we lose NOW. This will the the best team he will have before he is gone.

He has taken away the thing I love the most in sports: the NCAA tournament with the Tigers in it. My disdain for him borders on hate but I can't allow that. But I will be miserable during the Tournament.

Saddens me when people get online and post total BS because they have an agenda and do not look at the reality of the game. The second highest scoring team in the AAC had one guy who went off hitting everything he threw up. Even when double teamed and a short shot clock. Anyone guarding him was called for tick tack fouls. Crawford was standing straight up NOT reaching at all and Pollard shot a fade away shot and Crawford called for foul.

We still shot 49% from the field with as many baskets as UH. Shot 41% from the 3 point line with just as many 3 point baskets as UH. Owned the boards. And even shot 83% from the FT line. Our turnover level was below our average.

There were so many positives that came out of last nights game and the players and coaches are sick by the way it ended. And why it ended that way. So why not just pile on and celebrate another loss because it fits your agenda.
Great point....how many schools have fans that actually delight when the team ends up losing? There is an old saying...when the going gets tough....the tough get going. And that does not mean quitting. If anything, if we had the right kind of fans....they would realize they can make a difference by supporting the team and the players. But, that aspect of support is totally lacking with SOME fans. We are our own worst enemy and it is very apparent to many....not to those with an agenda....but to those watching the damage they are causing to the program and the players. But...they really don't care...as you will soon see. I met Del Harris (former Asst Coach of the DALLAS MAVERICKS) at a restaurant here in the Dallas area a year or two before Cal left. When he discovered we were Memphis fans...he pulled out his cell phone and said...."See here, this is John Calipari's cell phone number....he is one of my best friends". Later in the conversation he said...."Enjoy him while you can." That was two full years before he left for UK. So, what does that tell you? To me is says....we have to act like a big time program instead of a bunch of spoiled brats. Until we do....we will not get the respect we THINK we deserve.

Another BS post. I've discussed Tiger BB with folks ranging from Andy Katz to Larry Finch. People outside of Memphis think more highly of Tiger program than Memphians do.

Two national CBB writers messaged me privately when I asked what our programs biggest problem was: both said Pastner has been advised time and time again to hire X&O coach several years ago and he wouldn't do it. Still hasn't. Main reason our results on floor are what they are with our better than average talent.

So I kept my mouth shut for 6 years but no more. Contacted Dr Rudd today. Tired of this BS ruining OUR program.

BTW, calling Cal to leave Memphis in midst of Elite 8 runs didn't take rocket science. People knew one of blue bloods were coming.

It's past time of giving support and not criticizing as we have tried that for past 2 years with no acknowledgement from University. Many fans are disgruntled. So that's what I called your post BS. It's my money and my support and I will do what I damn well choose to. Less than 1% of members on this forum have gone to many games and contributed the money that I have.

I'm tired of hearing a coach saying we played good D giving up 98 points to a middling team. I'm tired of players quitting in games. I'm tired of our supporters being taken advantage of by the University. I'm tired of Bowen being a horses ass to all but very top donors.

My only agenda is get the program turned around before it is too late. Times are different now and Cal ain't walking through the door to fix things. Like I said Harris only repeated what most knowledgable media and fans knew at the time. Doesn't mean much except we probably won't keep Hall of Fame coaches here for life.
