RE: My Gawd this guy has killed our program
I remember vividly going to games with my dad in the early 90's. He would send me down toward the floor during games and tell me to act like I belonged their. I watched probably 10 games from the baseline, right underneath the basket, I probably managed to sneak out on the floor a time or two to towel off the floor.
The fondest memories of my youth revolve around Tiger basketball. We were let out of school early one year because we were playing Arkansas in the tourney. I remember going to games during the Price area. We lost to Drexel and a young Chad cried. I remember being at the UMass game and having my heart broken. I rushed the court when I was in college and we beat Louisville. We couldn't hit a meaningful free throw for four years, but I watched as our Tigers lined up to the line every single time.
I was deployed when the change occurred. I was optimistic. We had a national following and were a brand. Top recruits were attracted to the program. For years we were fooled into believing that our level of expectations could be attained. We were exposed. We continue to get exposed. We are no longer a brand in basketball. Were a footnote in a Kentucky game. We continue to be underachievers.
There is only one man to blame for the apathy that has set in. We've gone through different presidents and AD's during the fall from greatness. Players have come and gone, and only two things have stayed the same; the name on the front of the jersey and the man in tennis shoes on the sideline.
Ahh screw it, were a football school now.

Thank you for your service, it's folks like you who make this country great. Much respect, dude.
Don't give up hope. This program has been in the valley many, many times before but has always risen back to the top again. This too shall pass. Either this year or next, the Josh Pastner era will be finished and another coach will take his place.
We'll be back.

Maybe he has, maybe he hasn't. I'm into football now don't care anymore like most people that I work with I believe this basketball program is in for a long hiatus.

But our basketball program was supposed to be packaged in such a way so as to make us more attractive. Period. Paz may be costing us a big12 invite.
If we were filling up the FED EX FORUM....the Big 12 would be fine and the team just might respond....they are not living in a total vacuum....they can see the kind of support they are getting for our great FANS.
