I played for St. Paul's in the early to mid 80's, and always hated playing (and getting destroyed by) St. Dominic's. Not sure it Mathis was the coach of those teams.

I think it was Van Snyder's Bellevue Baptist teams that were pretty awesome as well.

He was coaching in the mid 80's. Van Snyder's teams killed my St. Louis teams in the '90's and we were not bad. Easterwood and Ronnie Robinson took down my YMCA teams.

Good times

Didn't Tech have Cornelius McFagddon (sp!) on that team?

I swear, I think the 1974-77 years in Memphis hoops was #1 in the whole darn country. Melrose, Southside, Hamilton, Northside, Tech, Fairley, East, Raleigh-Egypt...

I did not rank those, BTW! Just listing them off the top of my head...

Yes along with Daryl Braden both of whom played high major. Bradley would come down the floor and shoot from 35 feet-unreal.

Northside: Coach Marion Brewer. Larry Spicer and George Jones. Then later on Doom Haynes and the guy that went to UNLV. Can't remember his name. Morris?
