Games on ESPN2 or better
Here is a breakdown of the number of AAC basketball games that are broadcast on ESPN2 or "bettter" (ESPN, FOX, CBS, ABC). Its clear who the networks consider the brands of the league and who they do not.

UConn - 14
SMU- 10
Cincy- 8
Memphis -7
Temple- 7
Tulsa- 3
USF- 1 (against UK)
Tulane- 1 (against UNC)
Houston- 0
ECU- 0
UCF- 0

Its a good thing the bottom 3 have football going for them, because...yikes.

Houston has had a good season this year with more potential for next year so they'll probably get better TV exposure next season.

TV coverage in the AAC is like night and day compared to CUSA...

ESPN3 (online) makes catching highlights and replays of Memphis games VERY easy.

Um, its common sense they wouldn't put the bad teams on ESPN2 or better. I don't think its brand recognition.

This is what happens when our OOC schedule is pretty much schools with 6 letters in their shortened name. PVGAHA blah 03-banghead

In regards to CBSSN, does anyone know how that works with the games they cover? Does CBS choose which games from the schedule they want and them divide them up between CBS and CBSSN or does ESPN give them a pool of games they can choose from? I ask because it seems Temple is on CBSSN a lot, the Owls had 7 games televised by them this season.

I'm just glad I can finally watch. We went from maybe 1 televised game a year to most of them being available. ESPNN sux but it's better than nothing.
