Exclamation OT: The SEC is not happy with Michigan
UM coach Jim Harbaugh wants to take the Wolverines to Florida during Michigan's spring break for part of the squad's spring practice. SEC commissioner Greg Sankey does not like the idea.

College swim and baseball teams have historically gone to Florida for Spring Break.

Don't know if it matters if or not but because baseball is much more weather dependent than football, if northern baseball teams did not go south at the start their sport's actual season they would probably not be able to get in a full season before the end of the school year. OTOH, a spring break trip to Florida for a football team would occur during their "off" season and would represent yet an additional major time commitment to their sport for the student-ATHLETE.

However, regardless of the stated reasons for or against any such trips, rest assured any decision concerning college football is likely to be all about gaining a competitive edge for those high stake BIG $$$$ that fuels the college football entertainment industry.

Why don't the SEC schools travel north to Michigan and practice during their Spring Break? I'll bet that would really bother Harbaugh. 03-lmfao

No more off campus/out of state trips during spring break for college football teams to practice in Florida or somewhere. Sorry, coach Harbaugh
