Or Antoine's (1840). There was a couple older. The original Tujague's was from 1797, but it had a period where it was closed so it didn't count. The same was the case with The Old Absinthe House which originally opened in 1806 but was a coffee shop first and a bar from the late 1800's.

I must admit, I regret not going to Mardi Gras in NOLA when I was a young punk kid, who loved getting rowdy and was ok with possibly being thrown in jail over it.

Now? I fear that I'd not enjoy it as much because "it's too damn crowded!"
