Yes, the $1 million approved is for the study. Assuming that the study comes back positive, we will then see the Board give the entire project the green light.
Another thing to note is that the $100 million figure is for the stadium itself. Add on another $26 million for the retail component.
The retail part is important because Temple will be using that to show how this will be more than just a stadium for 6 games a year.
Temple in their sales pitch for the stadium is going to talk job creation and the opportunity for the community to have high school games and other events there.
Essentially there will be something going on everyday just about at the stadium.
Temple will also use the bball arena as an example. There is no doubt that the bball arena jumpstarted development of the campus.
