While WMU had their signing day ceremony at its stunning alumni center towering over the city, the Chimps had there's at Joe's Brewhouse in Pee City.

On hand was Dave Heeke. Heeke, who spent part of this week trying to get out of Mt. Pee (interviewed for the Illinois job) spent time outlining the replacement of the Toolshed. "Our facilities are dysfunctional," said Heeke.

Heeke spoke of plans for a 10-20 million dollar football/locker room that would include some suits. WMU currently has 25 suites and have had for 15 years. The plan titled, "The Day Late and a Dollar Short" fund raising drive, is in the talking stages with the hope that a "wealthy alum " will get the drive kicked off.

Chip, why do you obsess with ridiculing CMU.

They have had great success in athletics over the year. True...tarnished with some courtroom visitations, but many schools have problems.

They also have many good people who have succeeded in life after graduation. . . as we all know.

CMU is a good school with a lot to offer.

... and even if it didn't....why the obsession?

What's the use in having a rival if you can't constantly bust their balls?

Yeah, I'll never be a fan of Putin, unlike Fox News regulars cheering him on like crazy a year or so a go for a while -- they treated him like was CMU and they were in Mt Pleasant! But yes, I agree, Putin and CMU -- can't ever be even a neutral fan of theirs.

Even without the current "we are the world" love fest here, the reality is that CMU is a dumpy community college level "university" of last resort, which lacks a single decent academic program, with the exception of their "School of Pizza Delivery", which is only ranked as tops in the nation because of its incredibly high placement rate (which cant be argued, as every pizza delivery guy is a product of CMU).
