Until that first p5 job offer comes across his desk.
Already turned down interview requests this past off season with Maryland and Virginia. He also mentioned "grass isn't always greener".
Not to be a negative nancy here but Maryland and Virginia aren't exactly upgrades, whether the money is right or not. If a coach is looking to move up, he usually wants to be in a position to win and not just go for a money grab.
2 mil a year at Maryland/Virginia would be great but when you don't win your division in 2-3 years you are done.
Either of those schools wouldn't be much if any different than Larry Fedora going to UNC...
all coaches think they can win anywhere

Fedora seems to be correct. Can't seem him at UNC for more than one more year.

Sure, I think most (if not all) WKU fans understand that. We are all happy that he is still here at this point. I think goherd's statement of "the first P5 job" is what we take issue with. He has already passed up P5 jobs. Doormat P5 jobs, but P5 jobs all the same. I just hope he doesn't end up at UK. I like Brohm a lot and wouldn't wish that job on a snake.

RE: Brohm and WKU announce new contract
Bottom feeder programs are not ranked 9 out of the last 20 years...like Virginia was and 4 years in a row. And before those 20 years 7 years in a row
Maryland was ranked 8 out of the last 15 (20) years and 4 years in a row at one point. Maryland went thought a 15 year span with only 2 rankings. But before that they were ranked 13 out of 15
Point is both are not bottom feeder programs that no coach can win at and every coach believes they are the one to take a school to that next level. So yeah I would look at both of those jobs as a major step up from a program that pays a coach and about at the top end limit .......
close to what your recruiting budget is going to be at either of those schools.
