2015 was the first season we had with no "FCS talent" on the roster. Look how well that went for us.

Well, everyone except Georgia State.
Looking forward to the GS beatdown in Jonesboro next season. Go ahead and mark it down.
Will it look something like the beat down the last time we played?

Probably somewhere between what happened to you in Boone last year and on your own field at the hands of Georgia State.

Adding all things up the intensity of the hate for GS is growing at a nice pace and understandable and I hope it continues but on a more national scale. If it continues this may very well be what the SB needs to keep us all moving forward.

RE: SBC NSD Class Rankings
I'll say it again...the biggest myth about moving up to FBS that some here believe is that what you did in the FCS doesn't matter. It's not a coincidence that GS, App, and Marshall were 3 of the most successful IAA teams to move up and also had 3 of the best transitions ever.
And that is exactly why I can't be confident we can replicate what Boise did. Obviously we are recruiting better in terms of quantity, but I'm not convinced we have automtically moved on to a new class of athlete because we're FBS. That's the same nonsense given as a reason why we would struggle our first year in FBS.

I'm thinking it will probably be like what we already did to Ark St during the best season in your program history or maybe like Toledo last year.

Have you looked at the offer list of our recruits now vs when we were fcs? It was a miracle to get a recruit with a P5 offer when we were fcs. Now it is commonplace. Huge difference.

We carried it pretty well during bowl season. Glad you could eke out a win against the 3rd place MAC team.

Hm. Largest margin of victory in a bowl in SB history with the same players and new coach. Old coach successfully poaches recruits but despite it the class is second best in SB history. Undefeated 2014 in conference.
The body of work speaks to the more intelligent recruit. I could be wrong. Care to assist here Saint or must we dwell on the eggs like the Flamers?

App beat you by 20 last year and 4 of the last 5 sorry we aren't more impressed with how far ahead GS is than us. oh GA St game did happen as well. Do those count in the "body of work".

You've had a nice run. You CrAppy folk do seem to get up for the GS game. 6 will always be more than 3.
I wouldn't expect App to be impressed. I would expect App to sniff somewhere near the top 100 in attracting football talent. At this rate you'll bring in 15 three stars in just the next five years.

we have officially reached the time of the year, where we have also nothing constructive to talk about, football is done until August, GS and App suck at basketball so nothing to talk about here, and baseball hasn't got going yet. Time to pack it away, see you guys in the fall.

RE: SBC NSD Class Rankings
So glad to have App and GS in the Sun Belt. Too quality programs that make the conference better. But why is it that the App posters seem logical, reasonable, and GS posters come off like arrogant piss ants? GS beat stAte back when Reagan was the president in the D1 AA championship game. I mention that because most people on the board have no idea when this last meeting occurred. That, as well as a slightly better recruiting class based on # of signees = GS world domination!
I usually don't talk a lot of smack. Mark it down, GS will lose in Jonesboro next year and it won't be a close game. BTW, no one thinks that 1AA team was the best team in our program history. Not even close.

It's the same as every Ark State fan wanted an asterick by our title last season.
You probably will win next season against us, we have way too much unknown with this new staff. They have shown to be successful in recruiting but coaching is to be determined.

Good ol' Georgia Southern. I wish we had a tradition where we walked in biochemical excrement outside of our practice field and called it "Beautiful". But, alas, we aren't Georgia Southern, and we care.

And obviously the joke of calling it beautiful is over your head. Biochemical? What?

We will have a special promotion for the App game this year-- laser pointers and cardboard frisbees to the first 5K thru the gates :)
