Just for fun for whomever is interested...
A friend and I were having a discussion the other night and thought this would be an interesting topic of discussion/debate. What would be your All-Star team of the ages? I had a hard time trying to choose among a great cast of players, but I finally narrowed it down to this:

OFFENSE:

QB - [b]Chad Pennington
(Rakeem Cato)
RB - Chris Parker (Ahmad Bradshaw)
WR - Randy Moss (Aaron Dobson)
WR - Mike Barber (Darius Watts)
WR - Troy Brown (Tommy Shuler)
TE - Mike Bartram (Gator Hoskins)
OL - Garrett Scott (Steve Peretta)
OL - Steve Sciullo (Ron Puggi)
C - John Wade (Chris Jasperse)
OL - Doug Legursky (Mike Guilliams)
OL -. B.J Cohen (Nate McPeek)

DEFENSE:

DE - Vinny Curry (Paul Toviessi)
DE - Albert McClellen (Gary Thompson)
DL - Billy Lyon (Jarquez Samue)l
DL - Giradie Mercer (Steve Dillon)
LB - John Grace (Evan McKelvey)
LB - Larry McCloud (Andre O'Neal)
LB - Johnathan Goddard (Max Yates)
S - Rogers Beckett (TyQuan Lang)
S - Chris Crocker (Taj Letman)
CB - Carl Lee (Darryl Roberts)
CB - Yancy Satterwhite (Melvin Cunningham)

SPECIAL TEAMS:

K - J.R. Jenkins (Justin Haig)
P - Chris Hanson (Tyler Williams)
LS - Chris Massey
KR - DeAndre Reaves (Lanier Washington)

There were so many to choose from... I know I'm forgetting some names (especially on the defensive side)...What does your team look like?

I had a really hard time with tight ends and RB's. Slate was right up there... But if you consider Bartram, Kellett, Rader, Slate, Hoskins, Froh, Yurichek.... I mean... wow....

Cody was a helluva player, but he was the only target for Mark Cann... I think Gator OVERALL was better... Just IMHO

QB- Brett Favre (Reggie Collier)
RB- Derrick Nix (Damion Fletcher)
WR- Louis Lipps (Todd Pinkston)
WR- Mike Thomas (Michael Jackson)
WR- Sherrod Gideon

We probably have 5 or 6 running backs I could've picked.
Defense would probably require someone a bit more seasoned than me. Our defenses in our glory days were incredible.

That is one helluva corps insofar as skill players are concerned for sure!!!

Hanford Dixon and Patrick Surtain at corner I would imagine. Pretty stellar combo.

Adalius Thomas, TJ Slaughter, Jamie Collins, Michael Boley, Rod Davis, Gerald McRath, etc scatted throughout the defense.

Chris Parker and Ahmad Bradshaw were pretty killer. But Doug Chapman and Devon Johnson weren't slouches either.

Loved watching Parker play though. Sometimes seems he doesn't get talked up as much as other players who've went through Marshall.

Most people are shocked when I tell them that Damion Fletcher is 10th all-time in rushing yardage in NCAA history.

I like the Marshall list, but I think Mariott could replace either Brown or Shuler as an equal to both. Tough call in the slot for sure as we've had some great ones. I think if Mariott had been singled out by a QB the way Shuler was and his QB was Byron Leftwich the sky would have been the limit. But we had Watts and Davis out there, too, and Byron had no limit on throwing distance.

especially after watching his pirouette/fumbles his sr year....he could've been really good in the slot moving forward....ol' boy just got tired of gettin' hit....

I have to put some thought into my list, but you've named all I would've...I'm easily swapping reggie to numero uno....both were great, but Reggie was something special in a different way....he was Cam Newton but not as accurate with the arm....same exact player minus 30 lbs...

but you left sammy W off.....wtf chuck? lol....

I like the premise of this thread....it's gonna take me a minute to think through it and hope there is a recovery method that equals a fire escape route.....
