Basically the BOT was meeting to discuss moving on with the stadium process and creating designs and measuring environmental impact. The protestors are a small group of uber liberal students who are too shortsighted to not understand the benefits the stadium will have on the school as well as the blighted community. It's the same backlash that happened when Temple built the Liacouras Center basically.

There's a whole lot of "if's" in that article...

They haven't even started the design process yet, but you make it sound as if the thing is already built.

I give it about 50-50 chances of ever getting to ground-breaking.

It will get done. We went through the same circus routine before we got the Liacouras Center built. The community views Temple as its sugar daddy, and wants a handout. Which the trustees will agree on with council president Clarke. Then he will be all smiles at a press conference, and say what a great neighbor Temple is.

Its just usual politics in Philly.

Traditional design calls for even seating on each side .

The better design is something like Levi or Ford field.
Placing the suites closer and stacked on one side.
End zone seating can be bleachers and similar to the Seahawks stadium. Mid forties is fine for P5 so it needs to be easy to expand to that capacity.
