Sorry if you thought I meant specifically you in my reply. I was referring to MTFan's post also.

There are some teams like FIU and FAU that are flat out lying with their attendance numbers.

Each lower section seats around 400. The five middle sections on each side were nearly full, so let's say around 300 x 10 middle sections (5 each side) plus 200 x 8 side sections (4 each side). That gives around 4,600 and that assumes there weren't stragglers sitting throughout. The announced was not as off as you seem to think. We have done the math over and over. The MC is so big it makes good crowds like 5,000 seem like 2,000. We hear it all the time and it gets annoying. Our crowds are fine regardless of whether or not there are exactly 5,125 butts in seats that you can count.

I don't really care if it was 2k or 5k but when someone says the middle sections were nearly full..

I didn't see it in these clips and I know they aren't very clear but clear enough to see this side was less than 1/4 full and the ends were 1/10 full from the little I saw

I am not a hillbilly from Kentucky (there are a lot of us in BG) but I agree. I usually focus my attention on the court/field and don't much care what the attendance is (other than the impact is has on dollars)

As you so eloquently stated in a thread several years ago; the residents of the South get enough crap thrown at them by the West Coast and Northeast "elitists" that we do not need to insult each other about what state that we live in. Let's all be proud to live in AL, MS, KY, TN, FL, LA, TX, NC, VA or WV.

In a completely unrelated note, I stayed at the on-campus hotel in Bowling Green and thought it was super convenient for my pre-game bourbon :) I wish Middle would put a hotel on campus.

Thanks for the feedback on that, I've not heard much about the hotel yet. Was it an ok place?

It is very nice; a Hyatt Place property. Right next to the Alumni Center. A Chili's is going in next door as well.
